IOWA CENTRE ITEMS.

A sudden and unexplained death, that of Mrs. Hannah McPherson, has cast a gloom over the entire community, and those feel deepest who knew her best. She was apparently, in the prime of life and enjoying the happiness of a young and interesting family, when death claimed her her for its victim.

Funeral, Sunday 3 P. M. a plain interesting and sympathetic discourse was preached by Rev. Daniel Brubaker, text "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me," after which the remains were followed to Greenwood Cemetery, by a large concourse of sorrowing and sympathetic friends.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Hannah Pointer was married three times: Firstly, to Mr. Crail some time before 1852, secondly to Millington McHone on 20 June 1852, and thirdly to Matthew Stephen McPherson on 15 September 1868.
