Capt. Sayles, an old man without friends or relatives, has been living in Nevada for past six or eight years, and supporting himself by sawing wood in winter, and gardening in summer, died at the Central House last Saturday, after an illness of several weeks. He was a clever good natured old gentleman, never obtrusive, and supported himself as long as health would permit. His funeral was from the Presbyterian church on Sunday.
