OBITUARY
MARY JANE HARTMAN
Mrs. Mary Jane Harman was born in Ohio, Jan. 23rd, 1846, died at her home in Davenport, Ia., April 23, 1919, afer a brief illness of 24 hours duration of heart disease. She and her family resided on a farm near this city before moving to her home in Davenport, Ia., a number of years ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, active in the various auxiliaries of that denomination. She was the mother of eight children her husband and three sons preceding her in death a number of years ago. Those left to mourn her loss are Mrs. J. A. Taylor, Ames Ia., Mrs. Emily Spotts, Ft. Dodge, Ia., Mrs. L. E. Meyer, Davenport, Ia., D. L. Hartman, Rock Island, Ill., J. L. Hartman, Moline Ill. Also eight grand children two sisters and five brothers, besides a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held at Mr. Carroll, Ill., where she was laid to rest by the side of her husband.
