Death of R. Long.

Richard Long one of our pioneer citizens died at his home in this city last Monday afternoon. The funeral services were held from the house Tuesday and conducted by Rev. J. O. Simon pastor of the Lutheran church. His remains were taken to Iowa City for burial. The deceased had reached the age of eighty-eight years at the time of his death. during his early life he had been engaged in several vocations, and was always found to be honest and upright in his dealings, a kind husband and father, and a public spirited citizen.
