From Story County Watchman March 9, 1906

P. J. Bellesfield for several years a resident of this city died at his home Saturday evening and the funeral services were held at Friends church Tuesday morning, Dr. Bunce officiating. Deceased was a veteran of the civil war and was born in Michigan June 26, 1839. He leaves a wife and two children.
