Mrs. C. M. Peck was called to Tama County last week by the illness of her mother who died afer her arrival. Mr. Peck and daughter Mary left Saturday morning to attend the funeral.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. C. M. Peck" was Clara M. (Heaton) Peck, who married John Peck on 24 Decmeber 1873 in Toledo, Tama County, Iowa. Clara was the daughter of Lewis Heaton and Mary (Brown) Heaton. According to WPA Records, Mary (Brown) Heaton was born on 15 January 1835 and died 15 February 1906 and was buried in the Waltham Cemetery, Tama County, Iowa.
