Mrs. Rebecca Dixon, wife of Joseph Dixon, was born in Carroll county, Ohio, September 10, 1834 and died Tuesday night, January 23, 1906, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. J. Wilcox, west of the college campus.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. T. J. Wilcox" was Letitia Ann "Lettie" Dixon, wife of Theodore J. Dixon whom she married on 6 March 1889 in Boone County, Iowa. He was the son of John W. Wilcox and Mary Ann Williams.

WPA Records show Rebecca (Pugh) Dixon was buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, Ogden, Boone County, Iowa as was her husband, Joseph when he died in 1913.
