Death of Mrs. H. O. Ayers.
Mrs. H. O. Ayers died at her home in this city Monday night, aged sixty years. Mrs. Ayers was formerly Francis M. White, and was born in Marietta, Ohio, December 29, 1845, coming to this county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. White in 1855 and settled at Iowa Center. The deceased was married to Henry O. Ayers of Des Moines in May of 1868, coming to Nevada in 1892. Five children were born to this union, Willie and Harlan who had gone before and Gertrude, Mrs. Ivan Ayers, living south of the city and Bertha, who remains at the home. Mrs. Ayers was a sister of Mrs. Jacob Ray of Nevada; Mrs. Lizzie Williams of Iowa Center; James White of Ames, and Joseph White now of Missouri.
The funeral was conducted by Dr. Bunce at the home Wednesday morning and he remains laid to rest in the Iowa Center cemetery.
