Mrs. Martha* Lax passed away last Sunday after an illness of about a week's duration. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ramige in the United Evangelical church on Monday December 18. Anna Wentz was born in Germany in 1831, and was married to Martin Lax in 1855. They moved to Canada with the family in 1865, and five years later moved to Colo where they have resided ever since. She leaves to mourn her, a husband, one son Fred Lax, and one daughter, Mrs. J. McQuillin.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The deceased was Anna (Wenzk) Lax. This is obviously supposed to be "Mrs. Martin Lax" rather than "Mrs. Martha Lax."
