From Story County Watchman November 17, 1905

Word was received in Boone Monday by relatives of the death of Mrs. Mary Bowman, in Bakersville, Cal., which occurred Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock after a short illness. None of the details were mentioned in the telegram. The remains will be brought to Boone for burial. The funeral arrangements will not be made until the arrival of the funeral party.
