DIED.--Sunday morning John Shalley died at the residence of his son, George, southwest of town, at the age of eighty-five years. He was a native of Cumberland county, Pa., where he raised a family, afterwards coming here to make his home with his son as above. The funeral was held at the residence Monday after which the remains were interred in the Nevada cemetery. The services were by the pastor of the Christian Church at Ames.
