From Story County Watchman February 17, 1905

Monday evening George Manifee was called to Chelsea, Indian Territory through a dispatch notifying him that his son John L. Manifee had just been killed in an explosion in a mill at that point. Mr. Manifee was aged 40 years and leaves a wife and two children. We have no farther particulars at this hour.
