James L. Bates and W. L. Bates, of Sioux City, this morning are in the city bringing with them the body of the daughter, Miss Verna, who died in Sioux City Wednesday at the age of 35 years. Family formerly lived at this place and the remains were placed in their family lot in the Nevada Cemetery. He has long been a sufferer and end came as a relief to her sufferings, the trouble being of an inflamatory rheumatic character.
