Ames, Ia., Nov. 17--A telegram was received here this morning stating that Wendell P. Howard and George McKay of Ames had been killed in a freight wreck near Canon City, Col. The telegram was directed to the postmaster and asked what dispositon should be made of the remains.

Both boys were members of prominent Ames families, George McKay being the son of Prof. E. L. McKay. They were age respectively 18 and 19, and had left home for a trip through the west, roughing it. The bodies will be brought back to Ames for interment. The funerals will be held Sunday.
