M. P. Warrick died at his residence west of town Sunday morning at the age of 76 years. He has been seriously ill for some length of time and the end has been forshadowed for several weeks. He was a native of Pocatontas, Va., coming to Iowa in 1859 and has made it his home since that time. He has made his residence in Story county since 1871. The funeral was held at his residence Tuesday under the ministration of Rev. Payne and the remains were carried to the Nevada cemetery for interment. He leaves a wife, three sons and a daughter to look forward to the meeting in the future. Miss Georgia, Fred, Frank, and Wm., are the names. His numerous friends are sorry to learn that the end has arrived and look forward to a happy future in that future home from which there is no return.
