Another old resident of this county has been called to his reward at a very advanced age in the person of John James, who for more than a generation has lived near Story City. He was one of the good men of his day and stood high in the estimation of his neighbors and associates. The remains were laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery.
John James, one of the pioneer residents of Story City, died at the home of his son Carson James, Monday night at 12 o'clock. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Evangelical church at 2:30 p. m. The services were conducted by Rev. McKay.
