DIED.--George Moore was born at Fort Edwards, N. Y., Jan. 4, 1815, and died at his residence in this city on Friday evening at 10 P. M. Was married to Adelia J. Horton, Sept. 26, 1847 at Ft. E. They moved to Jackson county, Iowa, in 1865, where the family lived three years, then came to Story county, since, which time they made their home on a farm north of Nevada, where for 36 years, they have lived and identified themselves with the inteests of section of country and aided in its development. Four children were born, three daughter and one son, who were present at the last hour. He was converted soon after his marriage and kept his faith in God ever since, and for 40 years he had held a membership in the Methodist church. The funeral was held from the M. E. church on Sabbath and the remains were laid to rest in the Nevada Cemetery.
