Monday evening, May 30, Mrs. Louisa Applegate died at her residence just south of the city at the advanced ae of 83 years. The funeral was held at the home Thursday afternoon. She came to Story county at an early day, in 1855, and ahs resided here ever since. He husband has been dead for near 20 years. The children who survive her are Mark and Sadie, M. F., Delos, Mrs. J. R. Dinsmore, Mrs. Ed. Goodin and Mrs. Bert Hemstead.
