Mac. Applegate, Mesdames Ed Goodin, Dora Sherman and D. P. McKim are in Iowa Center today in attendance at the funeral of Wm. Applegate, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. H. Shoop, of Clear Lake, on the 16th inst. Mr. Applegate was one of the early settlers of Story county, and his death is sincerely mourned by a large number of relatives and friends.
