Saturday afternoon was a sad one fro us since Chas. Barr was at that time killed by being kicked by his horse, which became unmanageable while being driven and the blow took effect in the region of the heart and was almost instantaneous in its effect. The last rites were held at the Catholic church under the direction of Father Nichols, and the building was filled to its utmost capacity. He leaves a wife, two boys and two girls to mourn his loss.
