Mr. Henry Keltner, a very highly esteemed and respected citizen of this city, died very suddenly at his home Wednesday morning. While out cleaning his yard he was stricken down, but finally succeeded in reaching the house and died within five minutes before medical aid could be summoned. Heart disease was the cause of his death. Mr. Keltner was a man about sixty-five years of age and has been a resident of this county for the last forty-five years. He came here in the early days and purchased a farm and followed that as his life work until he moved to Ames five years ago. He is the father of twelve children all of whom are still living. The funeral will probably not be held until Saturday or Sunday, as some of the children reside at a distance. The remains will be interred in the Ames cemetery.
