Zearing Enterprise: ....Nancy H. Davis was born in New Portland, Maine, Sept. 29, 1832. When she was nine or ten years of age she with her parents emigrated to Long Island, Ill. Later on she moved to Ottawa, the same state. March 24, 1855, she was united in marriage to H. O. Norton. To this union ten children were born. Two girls and one boy have preseeded the mother to the Eternal shores. Four sons and three daughters survive.
