AMES DEPARTMENT OF THE WATCHMAN.

F. A. Ballinger, a freight traim brakeman was killed in the yards a Kelley Tuesday night while switching. His arm was cut off from a fall from the engine and his body terribly mangled. The remains were brought to Ames where they were dressed at the Loud undertaking establishment. The man leaves a wife an family at Delta, Iowa.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: WPA Records list the deceased as Frank A. Bollinger born 1877 and died 14 October 1903. He was buried in the Springfield Cemetery, Washington Township, Keokuk County, Iowa.
