State Center, Dec. 2.--Henry Smith, a young German farmer residing near this place was struck by a Northwestern train and killed. Smith had been to town and was returning accompanied by Henry Hennis, a neighbor. The engine struck the vehicle between the horses and wagon, throwing the wagon, horses and men a distance of 60 feet. Hennis was slightly injured. Both horses were killed.
