As the result of the operation for appendicitis to which we referred last week John Picht, of Richland township, died Monday, aged about 46 years. The operation was done at such a late date that little hope was given for success but it was thought best as a last resort.

HICKORY GROVE.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephens attended the funeral of Mr. John Picht at the Johnsons Grove Lutheran church last week Thursday. He was a brother in-law of Mr. Stephens.
