From Story County Watchman August 1, 1902

Ames Intelligencer: ....Marvel, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jones residing just southwest of Ontario, died very suddenly Wednesday morning of last week. The little one was ill but a short time, death coming but twenty-four hours after the first illness, but when it was seen that she was stricken with cholera infantum little hope for her recovery prevailed.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: WPA Records show Marvel G. Jones was born 19 January 1901 and died 23 July 1902. She was buried in the Ontario Cemetery, Story County, Iowa.
