Collins Clipper: ....George and Mrs. Lingenfelter went to Des Moines Monday to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, J. W. Flesher, at Des Moines. Deceased was killed in a wreck at Texas....
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Lingenfelter" was Sarah Elizabeth (Gilman) Lingenfelter, daughter of Michael Gilman and Elizabeth (McCoy) Gilman. Sarah's half-sister was Mary Jane (Gilman) Flesher, daughter of Michael Gilman and Sarah Ann (Fezer) Gilman. More accurately, James W. Flesher was Sarah (Gilman) Lingenfelter's brother-in-law. James W. Flesher died 22 April 1902 and is buried in the Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. Mary Jane (Gilman) Flesher died 25 February 1924 and is also buried in Woodland Cemetery.
