Cambridge Dispatch: ....Alfred Johnson was born in Telemarken Norway, January 16, 1827. In 1889 he came to Iowa and settled on a farm in Ballard Grove, west of Cambridge. The same year he was united in marriage to Miss Thia Jacobson and to them six children were born, three of whom died in infancy. The last six years of his life were spent with his family in Cambridge, Iowa, where he died Friday morning March 14, 1902.
