DIED:--On Monday at her home in this city Mrs. Rebekka E. French aged 71 years and 7 months. She has been in fairly good health and the sudden transition was not anticipated at this time but all was done that could be to alleviate her sufferings but without avail and the end came peacefully. She was born in Wayne county, Ind., and had lived in Missouri but came here many years ago. She was married to Isaac French in 1854. She leaved five children to mourn her loss. For the past few years she and her daughter Miss Tena French have resided in this city. She was a memberof the M. E. church in this city and the last rites were under the direction of Rev. Dudley.
