On the first day of February Geo. T. Sherwood died at his residence in Shannon, Carroll county, Ill., at the age of 54 years. He was formerly a farmer residing in Grant township of this county and well known to our people at that time. He leaves a family to mourn his loss, among them being a daughter, Mrs. T. J. Loughren of Ames.
