From Story County Watchman July 5, 1901

Slater News: Mrs. Thor Olson died at her home in Huxley early last Monday morning afer about two weeks illness. She was seventy-five years old. The funeral took place Tuesday in the afternoon and the burial was made in the Palestine cemetery. Rev. A. L. Huus conducted the services.
