Albert Lester Pond was born in Milledgeville, Ill., December 1st, 1865, he departed this life April 26, 1901, at the home of his father A. C. Pond, seven miles north of Nevada. Deceased had suffered a year with consumption before his release came. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church last Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. A. E. Shrader, the pastor. Interment was made in the Nevada cemetery. Two sisters of deceased could not be present because of distance. The family was called upon to bury the wife and mother no later than Feb. 28th last. The father and two brothers are left to mourn alone and need the sympathy of many friends in their loneliness.
