From Story County Watchman July 20, 1900

Story City Messenger: Old Kittel Knudson* father of O. K. Knudson and Mrs. H. B. Henderson, died yesterday morning. He was about 86 1/2 years old and has lived in the community for about 35 years.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: WPA records list the deceased as "Kettle Knutson" who died 23 July 1900. Story County marriage records show "Helen Knudtson" married H. B. [Hans B.] Henryson not "Henderson" as stated.
