Collins Clipper: Mary Morrison was born near Mechanicsville, Cedar county, Iowa, March 29, 1860. She came with her parents to Story county, Feb. 20, 1878. She became a member of the M. E. church in 1879. Was married to Wm. King Dec. 5, 1880, and to them were born seven children, two sons and five daughters. The husband, one son, and five daughters survive to mourn the loss of a loving wife and fond mother. She died in Collins, Friday, May 4, 1900, aged 40 years, 1 month 5 days. The funeral services were held in the M. P. church at 3 o'clock last Sabbath, conducted by Rev. G. O. Porter, pastor of the U. B. church at Dalton, Willow Creek, assisted by Revs. Keopel and Knoll....
