Galen (Wadsworth) Dodds, 81, RR1, died Friday, Sept 30 (1983) at the Story City Memorial Hospital. Services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, Oct 5, at the Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Mr. Dodds was born Aug 26, 1902, in Ames to William R and Hattie (Allen) Dodds. He graduated from the Ames schools. On Aug 22, 1924, he was married to Ardis A. Haverly in Ames. Survivors include a son John D. Dodds, RR1; a daughter, Joyce Doolittle of Boone; a sister, Mildred Taylor, 2207 Stange Road; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardis, March 15, 1976; a daughter, Mary Lou, in 1935, and a brother, B. A. Dodds in 1980. Friends may call at Adams Funeral Home from Monday evening until time of service.
