From Story County Watchman August 25, 1899

DIED--At Longmont, Colorado, Sunday, August, 20th 1899; Alice Leonard, of consumption and catarrah of stomach. Deceased was born in Nevada and spent most of her life here. Her age was twenty-eight years and twenty-three days. She was attacked by the disease which ended her life som time ago, and in hopes of benefit to her health she went to Colorado but without avail. She was well known in this vicinity and her loss felt by her many friends. She led a true christian life and many will sorrow at its premature end.
