On Thursday evening of last week John Johnson died at his home near Huxley at a good age. He has been long prominent in the affairs of this country having filled the position of member of the board of supervisors several terms. He was born in Norway but came to this country in an early day, served in the war of the rebellion at the close of which he settled upon a farm in Union where he has since resided. A large concourse of his friends and neighbors followed the remains to their last resting place.
