Mrs. Ned W. Perry, after a protracted illness of consumption, gradually growing weaker, and for some weeks hovering between life and death, died early Monday morning, Feb. 20. The funeral services were held at the family home on south Third street Tuesday p. m. conducted by Rev. Hopkins assisted by Pres. Harris, and attended by many citizens and students, for Mrs. Perry was widely known and held in high esteem. Harriett E. Richardson was born at Nevada, Iowa, Dec. 23, 1862; near which place she spent most of ther early life. She came to Indianola to attend Simpson college in 1883. She was a student of this college two terms. Was a member of the Delta Delta Society. She was married to Ned W. Perry, Oct. 23, 1885. To them were born four children, Grace 13, Russell 11, Dorothy 6 and Harriett 4 years of age.--Indianola Avocate, 23d.
