Story City Messenger: ....Little Johnnie Harrington is dead. Our people could hardly believe this report as it passed around town about hald past two o'clock Sunday afternoon. Little Johnnie had, just a few days ago, been seen, on our streets, well and full of life and energy. It was therefore hard to believe the report--although it was too true. He was 6 years old and it is the second time within th last few years that Mr. and Mrs. Harrington are called upon to lay away one of their dear little ones. A short service was held at their home yesterday forenoon, and the remains were taken on the 10 o'clock train to Nevada where it will be buried. The people of this town extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved.
In the same paper:
Under the head of county exchanges may be found a report of the death of Johnnie Harrington of Story City, the little son of Mr. Harrington, and the body was interred in the Nevada cemetery being met here by relatives and many friends. The circumstances are peculiarly sad and all extend to the sorrowing ones their sympathy in this their hour of trial.
