KILLED.--When the 9:15 train going west arrived in this city Tuesday morning and when crossing over the crossing near the elevator of R. A. Frazier it ran over a team striking the wagon near the middle breaking it in pieces and throwing it in every direction and smashing up things in general. The driver Ole A. Hereim was struck and carried something near 100 feet and dropped close to the track insensible where he was promptly looked after. A physician was found who had him removed to the office of Mr. Frazier near by and all done that could be to bring him too but without success and he breathed his last in about one hour after the accident. He brought in a load of hogs a little while before from Milford township where he resided and where he was returning when struck. His age was about 27 years.

His father had just driven over the track and of course he supposed the track was clear from danger. As a wonder the horses were not badly hurt. The remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of Borgen & Son where they were tenderly cared for and taken to his home.
