DIED.--Last evening Mrs. Frank E. Shaw of Sherman township, died after a brief illness. She was a lady who stood high with all her friends and acquaintances and the stroke will be a hard one upon the husband and little children who are thus left alone to battle with the hard world. The sympathy of all go with them in their hour of trial.

Obituary.--Cassia Belle Wilson, daughter of Cassius C. and Mary Wilson was born in Champaign county, Ill., on September 27, 1871, with Frank E. Shaw on Oct. 19, '92. After marriage with Frank E. Shaw they moved to Colo, Ia., where they have resided ever since. To her were born two children, Jesse W. nearly 4 and Harold C. 19 months of age. Mrs. Shaw was the oldest of three children. The remianing are Frank and Ross. As a girl at home Cassia was cheerful and obedient and a dutiful daughter. As a wife and mother she was faithful, loving and true, as a friend devoted and constant. She leaves a sorrowing husband with the two children without a mother's care. Father mother, brothers and a large circle of friends and relatives mourn her early death. But they mourn not as those who have no hope. We may not call her back but we can go to her. She with her husband united with the Methodist Episcopal church on March 5, 1898. Naturally hopeful and looking on the bright side of life she had much to live for. She will be greatly missed in Church and social circles. He death was sudden and a terrible shock to the community. The funeral service was conducted on last Saturday after which all that was mortal was laid to rest in our beautiful cemetery attended by many friends and relatives.
