Last week we noted the serious illness of John Ire. He died the first of the week and Tuesday evening the body was carried to the home of his parents in Ohio for interment.

This week S. A. Belknap received a letter from R. Eyer, who was recently here to receive the body of his son who died at the Padellford House and has this to say: "The funeral took palce at the United Brethren church at Hillgrove, Ohio, on Thursday, Dec. 9, the services being by Rev. R. E. Hemphill." The undertaker there speak highly of the work of Mr. B. in that line, and pronounces it of the very best and entirely satisfactory.
