From Story County Watchman November 26, 1897

Wm. Hart an old time resident of this county and well known died at the poor farm northwest of this city on Saturday last at quite an advanced age. He was an native of Ireland but came to this country when but a lad and lived in the country for over 30 years. The last rites were held under the auspices of Father Hennesy of the Catholic society and the remains interred in their cemetery.
