From Story County Watchman October 22, 1897

C. M. Johnson and wife* of Summit* this week had the ill fortune to loose their little daughter after a brief illness. The sympathy of their many friends go out to them in this their hour of affliction, trusting that they may look on high for their greatest consolation.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: C. M. Johnson is Calvin Marshall Johnson and his wife is Elizabeth A. Hollingsworth Johnson. Rhoda Maud Johnson is buried as "Maud Johnson" in the Center Cemetery just a mile or so from the Summit Coal Mine which was established on the farm of W. S. Johnson (C. M.'s father.)
