Slater News: Miss Lizzie Nervig died at the home of W. Weeks*, Friday, May 14, 1897, after a lingering illness....

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Wier Weeks was Lizzie's brother-in-law, being married to her older sister, Helen. Both her parents were dead by 1897, her father passing away in 1889 and her mother in 1894, she most probably lived with the Weeks family. She is buried in Slater, Iowa.
