Story City Herald: ....Mr. Jens Olson, an old gentleman living in the south part of town dropped dead yesterday [May 13, 1897] morning. We understand that the dause of his death is ascribed to heart disease....

Story City Herald: The funeral of Mr. Jens Olson, who died suddenly last Thursday, was held in Bethel church, Sunday afternoon, a very large crowd being present. The sermon was preached by the son of the deceased, from Nebraska, and the remains were afterwards buried in the Story City cemetery.....
