DROWNED--Monday just after-noon, Miss Altie Harnden started out from the residence of her father John Harnden, the the north part of Milford township for the purpose of looking after turkey eggs and not returning until late a search was instituted for her, and after a considerable time, about 6 o'clock, was found in a small creek or run near by drowned--the rivulet being known as a dry creek. In crossing the creek it looked as though in stepping over the bank gave way precipitating her into the water from which position she was unable to extricate herself and was thus found by her father. The funeral services were held Wednesday under the direction of Rev. Cox, of Gilbert. The many friends of the family extend to them their sympathy in this hour of trial and sorrow which has so suddenly befallen them.
