FEARFUL ACCIDENT--Just as we go to press we learn that Mrs. Filer living south of town met with an awful accident last Wednesday.-- She was driving a team and had been to a neighbors on an errand but when found the wagon was on fire and had consumed nearly everything. Nothing of the woman was left but a few charred bones, the limbs having been burnt and severed from the body. It is not known how the fire originated but it is supposed that it must have started from the sparks of a pipe falling in the hay or rubbish in the bottom of the wagon.--State Centre Independent, Oct. 1.
