She has been a resident of this county almost from its first settlement and was well known to all the older settlers here as a woman of worth and character. Sleep mother sleep, and take thy rest,
Thou are in heaven among the blest
Oh, loved one, you from us have gone
The angel of death has called you home.

Your hands are folded across your breast,
Your face is white and cold in death,
To us, the world is once more night
But to you in heaven the sun shines bright.

We loved you, yes, we loved you
But the angels loved you more
And they have sweetly called you
To yonder shining shore.
