From Story County Watchman November 15, 1895

DIED--At the home of her husband, Thos. Quinn, in this city, on the 12th inst., Mrs. Catharine Quinn aged 58 years.

Mrs. Catharine McHugh Quinn was a nativ of Ireland and was married to Mr. Quinn in England in September, 1857, and at once came to this country, in Pennsylvania, and in 1865 cam to Iowa, settling upon a farm in this county near Colo, where they raised a family of boys and girls, which are left to mourn her loss. A few years since the family moved to Nevada, where they have resided ever since. Father Linehan, of Boone, was in attendance at the last. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church in this city, on Thursday of this week, by Father Cooney, who has had charge of the congregation of the church until a few weeks since, but now of Waterloo. She was the mother of eight children, six girls and two boys, of which five girls and one boy survive her. Mr. Quinn remains to look forward to a meeting in the future where partings shall be no more. She has always borne the reputation of a woman of the kindliest disposition, and aiding all to be happy where within her power, and who cast sunshine upon all who came into her sphere.
